The goal of Ritualmaker Photography is to customize a service to your ceremony. Whatever your love story, I tell it in authentic photographs in a comfortable and intimate way. I am a craftswoman with a love for story telling through a blend of fine art and documentary style photography. My expertise is in creating beautiful photographs no matter the setting.
Whether local, regional or international, I travel to your location with everything needed to capture the details of your day.
It is my priority to make everyone comfortable in front of my camera. I'm proud to work with people of all races, cultures, backgrounds, orientations and genders. I support the LGBTQIA+ community wholeheartedly. I pride myself on a love of all people and guarantee a professional, reliable and empathetic experience in all our interactions.
I have photographed literally countless special moments for my community over the last 20 years including weddings, elopements, engagements, family portraits, newborn babies, sweet 16s, engagement parties, vow renewals and more. It is my pleasure to now build a rich community around me in my home in the Hudson Valley. I can't wait to meet you and get to know you.

My name is Alene, I am Ritualmaker Photography. My main goal is to be a complementary and integral part of the ritual you are planning. However you envision your day, I will blend in to capture the moments that unfold before me and tell your story. I'm flexible, adaptable and down to earth. Whatever your day entails, I'm capable of capturing your love throughout it all with a sensitivity to light, beauty and social interactions. I shoot a combination of film and digital cameras. I'm a craftsman with a love for story telling through a documentary style of photography.
I've been photographing with film since I was 10 years old, was the president of my high school darkroom photography club, went to Rochester Institute of Technology where I was trained in both film and digital photography as a Professional Photographic Illustration major with a fine art focus, and I have worked for more than 16 years as a professional photographer. I have photographed literally countless special moments for my community including weddings, elopements, engagements, family portraits, newborn babies, sweet 16s, engagement parties, vow renewals and more.
Investment
This is all determined based on the timeline of your event, the equipment needs and whether your event is large enough to warrant a second shooter. We will create a preliminary idea at the time of deposit and then finalize these details after your event schedule is final.
